The Turkish military will begin testing the S-400 anti-aircraft missile
systems purchased from Russia on November 25. The tests will take place
at the
airbase near Ankara.
According to CNN Turk, a number of aircraft, including F-16 fighters,
will be used during the tests. Army experts will check whether
communication between air defense systems and aircraft is efficient.
The tests will begin at 2 pm Moscow time at the Murted airfield
and will last two days.
The news about the contract being signed between the
Russian
Federation and Turkey for the supply of S-400
systems amounting to $2.5
billion came out in September 2017.
The first deliveries of the
anti-aircraft missile systems
started on July 12 this year. The
agreement also includes a
partial transfer of the technologies to
Turkey.
